Dear Cambridge-Isanti Boys Hockey Parent:
Welcome to
the Cambridge-Isanti high school hockey season. This letter is intended to provide you with a good percentage of the information
needed to get you through the entire season. Changes, updates, and new information during the season can be found on our website
at
http://www.bluejackets-blueliners.com/index.html.
The Jacket Blue Liners are the booster club for the hockey program.
The board of directors is made up of nine parents who are responsible for making financial decisions for the team and for
planning/scheduling fund-raisers and special events during the season. This board meets on the second Wednesday of every month
at the Isanti arena between July and March. Players' parents are always welcome to attend these meetings to contribute ideas
and/or to just stay informed. The funds for our season are obtained through a combination of the Blue Liner participation
fee of $160.00 per player and profits earned from numerous fund-raisers held throughout the season. The participation fee
as well as your participation in fundraisers will provide your son with the following:
• 10 captains practices prior to the start of the regular season
• Team hat and jacket (1 jacket per high school career)
•
Trip to Roseau for an early season jamboree with the following costs covered: bus, hotel, and four meals
• Coach bus to games further than one hour away
Additional
expenses paid by these funds are memberships, gifts, special events, and equipment.
The fund-raisers that we normally participate in are:
• March - Pancake breakfast at Applebees in Cambridge
-
Tickets are sold by players/parents in advance
- Players bus tables, greet guests,
wash dishes, and serve food

the grounds prior to each fair day

throughout and help during the actual auction

bagging at Cub Foods

• Home games during
the season - Chuck-a-puck

Other events and activities to note:

- As a contribution to our community, players ring the bell at the entrance of Cub Foods and Walmart
around Christmas time
Communication
with so many parents is one of our greatest challenges, so please do not be afraid to ask any questions you have during the
season. Our website will soon be our main tool of communication, so get it bookmarked as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Troy Heuring

Liner President
